November 17th, 2017 – January 11th, 2018- Gerry Trilling: Was.Is.Will

On November 17th, Kiosk Gallery presents “Was.Is.Will” – an exhibition of new works by mid-career artist Gerry Trilling. Deeply interested in material culture, Trilling’s constructed paintings trigger memory association, starting dialogues about family history and culture.

Bio: Gerry Trilling has been making art since she first crocheted a hanger at day camp. She received her BFA in painting from the Kansas City Art Institute and is currently a resident artist at Studios Inc.

Trilling has exhibited work regionally and nationally. Recent exhibits include Narrative Atlas at Studios Inc., Kansas City MO, Transformers: Re-Contextualizing Our Material Culture at Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts, Melbourne FL, curated by China Marks, In Site at City Ice Arts, Kansas City MO, Rises Zora and Have I Been Here Before? at La Esquina, Kansas City MO, both curated by Jamilee Polson Lacy.
